Requirements for participants
•You must be 18 or older by April 1, 2025;
•You are current students of high-school or college/ university;
•U.S. export regulations prohibit the export of goods and services to Cuba, Iran, Syria and Russia. Therefore, residents of these countries/ regions cannot participate.
•If you have previously competed in an Imagine Cup event as a Semifinalist or Regional Finalist, you can compete only with an submission that is substantially unique and different from anything you’ve brought to the Imagine Cup before.
Competition Schedule
Round 1 Idea Submission Round (“Idea”) April 1, 2025 — April 20, 2025
Round 2 Minimum Viable Product Submission Round (“MVP”) May 1, 2025 — June 25, 2025
Round 3 Semifinals Round (“Semifinals”) July 15, 2025 — Aug. 16, 2025
Round 4 World Championship Round (“World Championship”) Sep. 6, 2025 — Oct. 26, 2025
•Teams that advance to the next round will be announced within 7 days after each round ends.
•World Championship may take place virtually or in person, with the top three teams presenting live to a group of judges who are experts in their respective field.
Prizes
The title-winning team of World Champion will be awarded 100,000 USD and runner-up team will receive 35,000 USD, to be evenly shared by each member, paid out via electronic transfer. All prizes are stated in U. S. dollars, but we can also award a cash prize in the official currency of the winner’s country of residence based on the exchange rate on the date of payment.
